Objectives:
The present proposal aims to design, develop, produce and test, under real conditions of the marine environment, technological solutions non-toxic and non-leaching capable of preventing, or significantly inhibiting, the process of colonization and subsequent development of incrustations, or facilitating their removal, from infrastructures used in systems of aquaculture production, with the ultimate objective of developing aquaculture in a sustainable way, reinforcing the objectives recommended by the Common Fisheries Policy.
Technological solutions will be developed for the anti-fouling coating of surfaces, innovative and sustainable, supported by advanced processes and materials, respecting the hygienic-food standards of stabled fish and the environment, and suitable for the conditions of the Portuguese sea. This strategy follows the lines of action defined for the aquaculture sector, set out in ENMar2013-2020, in the sense of developing safe offshore systems that minimize the risk of accidents and equipment losses, always with the aim of strengthening, innovating and diversifying the national aquaculture production.
A presente proposta visa conceber, desenvolver, produzir e testar, em condições reais de ambiente marinho, soluções tecnológicas não-tóxicas e não lixiviantes capazes de impedir, ou inibir significativamente, o processo de colonização e subsequente desenvolvimento de incrustações, ou facilitar a sua remoção, das infraestruturas utilizadas em sistemas de produção aquícola, com o objetivo ultimo de desenvolver de uma forma sustentada a aquicultura, reforçando os objetivos preconizados pela Politica Comum de Pesca.
Serão desenvolvidas soluções tecnológicas de revestimento antivegetativo de superfícies, inovadoras e sustentáveis, suportados em processos e materiais avançados, respeitando as normas higieno–alimentares dos peixes estabulados e do ambiente, e adequadas para as condições do mar portugues.
Esta estratégia segue as linhas de ação definidas para o setor da aquicultura, enunciadas no ENMar2013-2020, no sentido do desenvolvimento de sistemas offshore seguros, que minimizem riscos de acidentes e perdas de equipamentos, sempre com o objetivo de reforçar, inovar e diversificar a produção aquícola nacional.
